BANQUET // CONCERT (12 pm - 6 pm)

Charter Oak Brewing Company

39B Shelter Rock Rd, Danbury, CT 06810

The local brewery has been very good to us since our inception and they remain huge supporters. Once again there will be food and drinks included in your registration fee. There will be world-famous chicken wings and fries, salad and other vegetarian options.

THE ZAMBONIS LIVE!

As of right now, we are scheduled to have The Zambonis to perform during the banquet. They’re known as the “greatest and only all hockey rock band in the world since 1992, nothing but songs about hockey, love, life and hockey.”

EXTRAS/GUESTS

This year, we're asking for a $60 donation to cover beer, food and a ticket to the pro hockey game at night for any guest you bring. This little extra really does help us cover all the stuff we need and support the Movember foundation.

PARTICIPATION BAGS

This year, participation bags will only be given to those who raise at least $200 for the Moustache Classic team on the Movember website. We try to get as much cool stuff as we can but it’s a lot of work and we want you guys to get involved in the fundraising. We raised more than any other hockey group raising money for Movember in the world last year and there’s no reason we won’t again.

Once folks visit the link below, they will see a white button with a black border that says “Join This Team”. Once they hit that, they will be taken through the sign-up funnel, and upon completing the sign-up process, they will automatically be joined to the Moustache Classic team.

If you had a Movember profile last year, all you need to do is sign in and re-join the team.

HAT TRICKS GAME

DANBURY HAT TRICKS PRO HOCKEY GAME (7 PM)

At 6 PM the bus will bring us back to Danbury Arena to watch the Danbury Hat Tricks and the Watertown Wolves play a professional game of hockey. This is easily one of the best parts of the weekend. The action is great and the arena will be rowdy for one of the few Saturday night home games in November. Your ticket to the game is included in your registration fee

Additional Information

FRIDAY NIGHT BEFORE THE CLASSIC

We have had groups of people show up on Friday night in both prior years. In 2019, the Hat Tricks played at home and a dozen of us checked out the game. With no games pro or junior last year, we all met at Two Steps Downtown Grill. This year, we will play it again by ear. There is no hockey game at the arena Friday night and there is also a VERY EARLY CALL on Saturday.

AREA HOTELS

The Danbury area generally does not have a lot of AirbBNB inventory. There are many, many hotel options around town. Microtel in Bethel is a clean, safe and economical option, Ethan Allen Hotel is a little nicer and the Hotel Zero Degrees is the coolest hotel in the city. If you want the real hockey road trip vibe, stay at the La Quinta on Newtown Road. The La Quinta is owned by the Hat Tricks hockey organization and it houses their players as well as their opponents when they are in town.

HOCKEY SHOP

The Danbury area is home to one of the best hockey stores in the entire country: Wesco Sports. Located at: 270 Federal Rd in Brookfield, CT 06804 (just outside town) it’s an awesome place to shop for sticks or any kind of gear. There is an awesome goaltenders room downstairs that is run by legendary pro hockey net minder, Nick Niedert. FYI: They do not sharpen skates at Danbury Arena.

DRAFT RESULTS

Once we have the teams sorted we will email you, should be on or before October 1.
